impressive displays of erosion and mother earth's natural beauty.
The North Rim of the Grand Staircase is located 220 miles from the Grand Staircase . Unfortunately,
only 10 percent of the 5 million yearly visitors travel to the Grand Staircase north side. The Grand Canyon North Rim truly is spectacular. The Grand Staircase is open from May through October.
The
Grand Staircase ranges in elevation from 2,400 feet to over 7,000 feet above
sea level. Many attractions are located within Grand Staircase .
The
North Rim has been inhabited by Desert Archaic people, the
Anasazi, and the Paiute all before Europeans came in 1540. The Paiute
gave the plateaus of the Grand Staircase their names.
The Rim
is filled with interesting rock formations and Colorado River. The Grand Staircase features six hiking trails. They range from easy half-mile
trail to a two or three-day trip to the Grand Staircase 's bottom. Mount
Hayden and Saddle Mountain are viewable standing on the highest point
in Grand Staircase , Point Imperial. You can see stunning vistas
